Housing

Over three-quarters of King County renters spend more than 30 percent of their income on rent. As the cost of living in Seattle continues to rise, SCIDPDA provides opportunities for low to moderate-income individuals, families, and seniors to afford a safe and decent place to live in the heart of the bustling Chinatown International District, near the city center and city jobs. Our residents are just steps from critical neighborhood amenities including a major public transportation hub, dozens of neighborhood shops and service and health care providers, and a public community center and library located in our International District Village Square.

SCIDPDA owns and/or manages nine neighborhood properties that include more than 400 affordable housing units for 700 residents. By providing community members with the security of an affordable, safe, and clean living environment, SCIDPDA helps low-income individuals, including families and seniors, break the cycle of poverty, contributing to a higher quality of life for the whole neighborhood.
