In addition to currently owning and/or managing affordable housing for more than 700+ low-income residents and 200,000 square feet of commercial/retail space for dozens of independent businesses, neighborhood nonprofits, and service providers, we have developed new projects and rehabilitated historic buildings to meet the community’s needs and encourage future growth in the Chinatown International District.

SCIDpda has worked to preserve and celebrate the unique history of the Chinatown International District for over 40 years.
[/mk_blockquote][vc_column_text]Beginning in the early 1980s, SCIDpda’s Real Estate Development started with SCIDpda’s purchase and renovation of the Bush Hotel, transforming the historic hotel into a mixed use building featuring both commercial and residential space. SCIDpda continued to develop several other buildings in the neighborhood to be made suitable for commercial space and affordable housing. Today, SCIDpda’s Real Estate Development continues to implement physical development projects that enhance and support the mission of SCIDpda, provide major upgrades to SCIDpda-owned buildings to prolong the useful life of these assets, identify opportunities on non-SCIDpda projects that further our mission through technical assistance and consultation, and partner with non-profits and for-profit developers and organizations to develop projects in the CID and beyond. Through our own developments and our work with local property owners, we help envision how the buildings that tell past and continuing local stories can help our community to thrive.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/mk_page_section][mk_page_section sidebar="sidebar-1"][vc_column width="1/3"][mk_divider style="thick_solid" border_color="#859439"][vc_column_text align="right"]

The availability of housing near everyday amenities is paramount to the sustainability of a healthy community.  Working parents need to live near child care and jobs.  Seniors need to live near their health clinic and bus stops. Our housing is located in mixed-use buildings so that residents are just steps away from grocery stores, professional services and more. With a decent home and stable living environment, our residents are able to work on achieving personal goals for themselves and their families.[/vc_column_text][mk_button dimension="savvy" size="large" url="http://scidpda.rn2.co/what-we-do/affordablehousing/affordable-housing-availability/" align="center" fullwidth="true" outline_skin="custom" outline_active_color="#859439" outline_hover_color="#ffffff"]CHECK AVAILABILITY[/mk_button][/vc_column][/mk_page_section][mk_page_section sidebar="sidebar-1"][vc_column width="1/3"][mk_divider style="thick_solid" border_color="#859439"][vc_column_text align="right"]

Commercial Property Mgmt

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="2/3"][mk_divider style="thin_solid"][vc_column_text]For more than 40 years, SCIDpda has developed, owned and managed properties in the Chinatown International District.  We currently own and/or manage over 200,000 square feet of commercial/retail space. Our properties are ideal for restaurants, boutique retail, and business professionals.  Many are located in historic brick buildings and feature large storefront windows, high ceilings, and high pedestrian and vehicle traffic.  Our properties are near downtown, close to parking and transit stops, and are part of a larger, diverse concentration of hundreds of neighborhood businesses.  Our owners and tenants can expect exceptional quality, strong financial performance, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. For Property Owners: As a neighborhood-based property manager, we are invested in the success and sustainability of our properties.  As property owners, we are also able to manage properties from an owner’s perspective.  We oversee operations, maintenance, marketing and leasing, and financial management for our buildings. For Tenants: Our property managers are located in the neighborhood, so we can quickly respond to the needs of our tenants.  We oversee building operations and maintenance.  Our multilingual staff has extensive experience responding to the needs of a clientele with diverse experiences and backgrounds.  We help our tenants feel like a part of the community, and we are committed to a strong partnership with our tenants. Room Rentals: Our Legacy Community Hall is the perfect space for your next meeting, party or gathering. This recently renovated space features seating for up to 175 people, access to our audio/visual system and a full-size commercial kitchen (kitchen rental fees apply).*May include Hing Hay Coworks here as well.
